ABOUT DENNY

Dr. Duling has been active in the Presbyterian Church while spending most of his career in academic researching, publishing, and teaching the New Testament. He has held offices and presented dozens of papers at five different Biblical societies. His early work on “Son of David” in the Bible led him to a particular son, Solomon, who in popular Israelite belief was a magician and has published on Jesus research history, magic, millennialism, ethnicity, aromas, social memory, collectivism, social networking, and the Gospel of Matthew.

Dennis co-authored a book on the Underground Railroad with his spouse, Dr. Gretchen Duling, Ph.D. and is currently working on Social Network Analysis, Jesus, and Paul. The Dulings have two children, two grandchildren, and a Cairn Terrier mix named Alex – also known as the smartest dog in the world. Dennis has enjoys sailing and continues to play golf, pool, and the piano in a jazz quartet. He follows the Buffalo Bills.
